Taroko Gorge National Park

A view from a hiking path in Taroko Gorge National Park on May 26, 2019. This park does not see many cloudless days, but the rain continues to provide its dense, green undergrowth. A small blue-green river, known as the Liwu river, flows at the bottom of this massive gorge. The formation of Taroko Gorge is complex, but as the island of Taiwan continues to rise, more erosion occurs.
