My fiancee and I hiked up Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska when we found this small area 3/4 of the way toward our final destination. To our amazement, there were a bunch of small icebergs and one had floated extremely close to shore. My inquisitive fiancee decided to see what a glacial ice taste like. I must say, after tasting it myself, its definitely the freshest ice cube I've ever licked.
