I live in an area of Kinshasa that is surrounded by the Congo River on three sides. I have the privilege of witnessing life on the water as few people Western people. Taking photos is my way of capturing, recording, and sharing photos is my way of honoring a culture and the people. The primary means of transportation on the river is the taxi canoes. Seasonal fishing camps can be seen on the island.
