This work was taken on the night of August 15th, the Mid-Autumn Festival, in the town of Liminka, Finland. I spent the entire night in a hide, patiently awaiting the opportunity to photograph hawk owls. Around midnight, under the light of the full moon, a pair of hawk owls were seen with their recently fledged chicks, teaching them to hunt using a freshly caught wild rabbit. The entire scene, exudes a touching and heartwarming atmosphere in the moonlight.
