Tennessee Assassin Bug, Microtomus Purcis: Catching Its Prey

This photo was taken with my Sony Cyber Shot DSC H-300 camera. This photo is of a Assassin Bug - Microtomus purcis on our forestry property in Palmyra Tennessee. The photo was taken around 11:10, just before noon, the sun was up and pretty bright. I had to mildly adjust clarity and add a sunscreen filter from my computer to enhance the subjects within this photograph. This photograph is of the assassin bug catching its prey. There is a previous photo of the same subjects without edits, the assassin bug is feeding on the bee in that one.
