This photo is of one of the famous Terracotta Warriors found in Xi'an. The Emperor of the time, instead of killing his soldiers to take with him to the after life, had warriors crafted out of terracotta and buried with him. The tomb was discovered by a local farmer and archaeologically excavated. These can now be seen at the tourist destination. This is one of those warriors.
