15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Teton Reflections at Schwabacher Landing

The early morning sun on a a still June Morning along the Grand Teton mountain range. This photo was taken in Jun around 0800 in the morning just as the sun rays reached the range. I was on vacation with my 76 year mother. Together we searched out a spot for that special memorable sunrise My mother is the one who gave me the photography bug. She put a Kodak camera in my hand when I was only 5 years old. I learned to love photography from her. She had taken me to the Grand Tetons when I was a child I had not returned there until this year. I took my mother back and together we photographed the park. It was a special and sentimental experience I will never forget.
