The photo project "Thank you for the music" portrays Cologne clubs and bars that had to close their doors after March 14, 2020. The project aims to bring the dying club landscape back into the minds of the visitors and offers insights behind the closed doors of the clubs. The photo project not only includes portraits of people, a magazine was produced in parallel, with deeper insights behind the scenes of the recently dead creative scene. Quotes from club owners, musicians and visitors underpin the emotional state in times of Corona. The portrayed owners reflect the general mood of those people who have not been able to do their jobs for months due to the Corona crisis. Hopelessness, sadness, perplexity and anger as well as hope, longing and zest for action can be seen in the eyes of the photographed.
