The Active Volcano Popocatepetl and the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios

The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios (Church of our Lady of Remedies) in Central Mexico, with the active volcano Popocatepetl in the background. The beautiful church in the city of Cholula was built by the Spanish in 1574-1575. An interesting fact is that the hill that church was built on sits on top of the largest pyramid in the world by base. This wonderful area of Mexico is very scenic and rich in history.
