The African Bee Eater
When traveling to Africa, I knew I was excited to see the big animals like lions, buffalos, zebras, etc. but what I hadn't realized was how much I would enjoy the bird species while there. I quickly learned of the Bee Eaters and fell in love with their colorful feathers. This Bee Eater landed on the branch just long enough for a few shots before he flew off to catch a bug flying by. This photo was taken in the Mara next to the river while waiting for the crossing of the Wildebeests to happen.
