13th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
The African Reserve
This past summer I had the chance to spend 5 weeks in South Africa. It is a beautiful country that overflows with incredible people, landscape, and creatures. This shot was captured on a safari when a group of giraffes approached our vehicle out of the blue and I happened to catch them in an almost cohesive manner.
