The Bagan are silhouetted during sunset in the Sunda Strait. The Krakatoa island is seen in the background.

The Bagan are floating fishing huts found on the sea in different parts of Indonesia. These can be found all over the Sunda Strait, between the islands of Java and Sumatera. At night, the fishermen use lights to catch fish in the lowered nets at the bottom of the bamboo pole structure. The island of Krakatoa (the volcano) can be seen in the distance. I shot this from Tanjung Lesung beach, one of the tips of western Java.Dragonflies criss-crossed the air as I clicked multiple shots.
