The Battle Against Sea Level Rise - Saving Salt Marshes with Runnels
Tired at the end of a long field day, a salt marsh ecologist follows low-ground-pressure excavator tracks out of the marsh. The excavator was used to create a shallow narrow channel - a runnel - to allow a flooded area of marsh to revegetate, buying the salt marsh time in the face of sea level rise.
