I come from a society where most older people are not really into travelling. They are expected to have reached a stage where enjoying life isn't their primary objective. So when I saw tourists at Kovalam beach, mostly western tourists who were older and seemed to enjoy their holidays - It was different for me. I wanted to capture this and when I saw this older lady reading a book under an umbrella, with the sea in the background - to me it looked like a scene out of one of Wes Anderson movies.
