The Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios (The Church of our Lady of Remedies) is the church sitting on the hill. The hill as it turns out is actually the Great Pyramid of Cholula (Tlachihualtepetl) thought to be the largest pyramid in the world by base. The church was built by the Spanish in 1594. The active volcano Popocatepetl is seen in the background. The city of Cholula is located in central Mexico just outside of Puebla, Mexico's fourth largest city. The city with all of its colors and rich history is a wonderful place to visit.
