The Birthplace of Omuraisu

Hokkyokusei Shinsaibashi. This old restaurant, located in a back alley in Osaka, was where the working class staple of omuraisu was first created. Omuraisu is a cheap and filling meal made of rice, egg, and sauce that can be found in many casual eateries around Asia.
