The "boardwalk" (Plank Road), Caumsett State Park.
Looking east, the picture shows what was originally part of Plank Road. It ran from what is presently the Fishermans Drive parking lot to the Marshall Field III estate dock (the boat landing). On the right is one of the many mud flats in the marsh, which fills with water during high tide. The photo is an example of the veritable cornucopia of colors on display in this awesome section of the park. Since the structure has deteriorated so much, fences erected on both ends prevent anyone from walking on it.
