23rd Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest The American Experience
The Boat Race
While visiting Portland, Maine, I traveled on a boat. We saw another boat in the distance. It was quite a different type of boat. I believe we managed to travel slightly faster than the other boat. An American flag flies in the distance, reminding us of the history of our country, and our innovation and industrialization.
