We arrived at the Masai village in the middle of the afternoon. The moment we arrived, the rain came down hard. As is often the case in the Mara, the downpour lasted a short time and then stopped. Everyone in the village went out of their huts. My attention was drawn to a young boy, elegantly dressed in a yellow shirt, who came out of his hut and sat down next to a goat. He simply looked happy and carefree.
