The Bridge
This is Tuanku Bainun Bridge bridge crossing the Sungai Dinding in Lumut, Perak. This is the country's longest bridge spanning a river. Covering a distance of 1.3km across the Sungai Dinding, it was opened traffic on Nov 7 2000 in conjunction with the Raja Permaisuri's birthday. The RM194.6 million bridge, which began construction in Aug 1997, is the main feature of the Sungai Dinding Highway project near Lumut which includes the Sungai Sitiawan and Sungai Tebok Raja Semalon bridges.
