The Buck Moon in July 2024, taken from Petrie Island in Ottawa, Canada, was dramatic indeed. I normally take my moon shots the day before the full moon but it was cloudy and rainy on July 20th. It would have been ideal as the rising moon and the setting sun would have happened close to one another resulting in great lighting for the moon. But the following night was in full darkness when the moon arose which turned out great!
