Indonesia, Sulawesi, The bus ride It's a 48 hour bus ride across the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. The bus lumbers along the endlessly winding single lane road cut through the dense jungle stopping for food breaks, gas, and roadworks. Some work areas require halting traffic in one direction for over an hour, so people get off the bus and occupy themselves best they can to kill time. An unspoken camaraderie develops as the journey proceeds though people generally keep to themselves.
