I spent a few days in Munich prior to a river cruise of the Danube and visited the local Aldi store. There sat this smiley-looking dog quiet as it could be with just a loose leash and collar tied to a railing. It sat by Aldi awaiting its owner. It never moved from the spot, it never stood up, it never barked and just looked longingly at me. Unbelievable.
