The Cat Wins

The Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia is home to a large population of cheetahs. Some of these cats were brought in as orphans at a very young age (sometimes only a few days old) and will never be released back in the wild. They run a few times a week on a dirt track following a piece of cloth that is pulled by a cable system at a very high speed. Sometimes they catch the cloth and the system has to be reset. This provides an excellent opportunity for photography and great training for the cheetahs.
