Every year, a remarkable event unfolds in Katmai National Park. From late June through July, large schools of Sockeye Salmon begin to leave the ocean and head up river to spawning grounds. During this time, Brown Bear collect at Brooks Falls where the salmon jump the waterfall to continue their journey. This give the bear an opportunity to catch the fish in midair; and us a chance to try and capture this remarkable event. I watched this male catch six in one hour.
