The Ceremony
In the last night of the 4-day healing ritual, the Sikereis, Mentawai Shamans, dance and sing the whole night without sleep until the morning comes. Then, they each go back to their own umas, Mentawai long house. The dance ritual was supposed to cleanse the uma from bad spirits, and invite their ancestral spirits to be their guardians.
