A sub-adult cheetah chases an adult wildebeest. The cheetah’s mother attacked a baby wildebeest, prompting the mother wildebeest to attack the cheetah. One of the cheetah’s subadult cubs chased off the mother wildebeest ensuring the success of the hunt. I watched the young cheetah run at lightning speed with its arms reaching across the grassy savannah, in hot pursuit of the wildebeest. With incredible agility and precision, the cheetah swiftly closed in on its prey, hoping to make a successful kill. Photographed in Southern Serengeti, Tanzania near Lake Ndutu in January of 2023.
