The Chimney Tops of Bubion
Hidden high up in the veins of Spains Alpujarra mountain tops lies the juxtaposing skyline of Bubion. In a Mediterranean contemporary society this image unveils layers of the towns history. Embedded in the Granada region, Bubion was one of the last areas under the reign of the Moors. Influences can still be witnessed today through their architecture. The distinct cap shape of the chimneys, throughout the town, are designed to prevent snowfall affecting household heat during the colder months. This small town demonstrates an equilibrium between civilisation, nature and the past.
