19th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
The christmas tree

The Neila lagoons are a pass for the photography lovers because its glacial lakes remain frozen throughout the winter. In the surroundings of the lakes at almost 2000m of altitude, the Scots pines grow in isolation, unlike at lower altitudes, where the forests become more dense and the high density makes that the shape of the pines not be so beautiful.
