the coastline of turritella shells

During the monsoon season (from September to March, annual year), the coast of Con Chay Muoi, District Binh Dai, Ben Tre province, Viet Nam is covered with millions of turritella shells.. These turritella are 7-8cm long, after a journey at sea, drift to the sun and die, their bodies spread along the 7km coastline of Thoi Thuan commune. When dawn comes, the turritella shells shine bright like glass. The local government has not yet put them into tourism because they want to preserve and protect the strange natural landscape that has appeared here for the past few decades
