The Conning tower of the USS Yorktown museum in Charleston SC
Photo shows the conning tower and portion of the flight deck of the USS Yorktown- - a maritime museum piece in Charleston SC. The ship sits in Charleston Harbor. The Yorktown is the successor to its namesake that was sunk in WW2. This ship replaced the original ‘fighting lady’ and went on to be of service through Vietnam. When decommissioned,it found its home in Charleston and serves as a museum and home to the National Medal of Honor museum
