The courthouse in Denton, Texas is the centerpiece of our town. It's lawn is our communal living room. People picnic under the old pecan trees, strung with lights. Bluegrass music is played, people get married, dates happen, families chase kids, people play catch. It is the one communal outdoor space in our city that brings us all together. The Courthouse sits silently and steadfast in the middle of it all.
