This picture was taken while canoe tripping in Algonquin Provincial Park. We had camped at this same campsite several years running. Each year we thought we heard the sound of falling water but were never able to find its source. On this occasion we were finally able to locate what turned out to be four successive waterfalls cutting through a canyon with a total drop of at least 400 feet. This picture is of one of those falls. My hope is that it conveys the mystery and wonder that I felt on its discovery.
