The Devil
Fire rages over the forest with 40' high flames. We survived the Tinder Fire that took 40 structures in our community. My husband, a firefighter, stayed behind to fight the fire as all others were evacuated. He managed to keep the fire away from our home, with the help of the HotShot crews and the nearly 30 loads of water from their Chinooks. It was a terrifying day, one that built camaraderie within our community and hope for our future as people banned together to help each other and re-build.
