The Diamond Head Lighthouse Domain

The Diamond Head Lighthouse, originally built in 1899, spreads light nearly 18 miles out into the Pacific Ocean. Captain James King, my wife's great-grandfather, petitioned the Hawai'i legislature for a lighthouse after two ships ran aground in the 1890s.
