Our family spent this year's vacation on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. We explored the iconic Quiraing and were rewarded with this spectacular view only a short distance from the trailhead when the sun briefly broke through the clouds. Due to the windy and rainy weather there were only a few other visitors. The landscape presented itself barren and empty and made us feel like the last human beings on the face of the earth.
