The everburning pyres of Manikarnika

It's said that the pyres of Manikarnika (a ghat in Varanasi) to cremate the dead bodies of hindus, never burn out. While electric ovens have already been installed and also used at the pre-historic Manikarnika ghat, to reduce pollution, some people still believe in the traditional way of cremation; using wood to burn. Shot from a top angle, at Manikarnika ghat, by the Ganges at Varanasi, India.
