The fashion of the Tibetan people
While weaving in and out of the crowds throughout Tibet, I noticed that Tibetan people had such a unique sense of style. I can only describe it as steamy punk mixed with street grunge. I don’t even know what that necessarily means, but I really really admired the way they dressed. I loved looking out for the Chinglish or “interesting placement/combination” of words printed on clothing too. I always thought, do they know what their shirt even says? Or do they just buy it because they think it’s cool that there’s English on it? Nonetheless, every Tibetan I saw who wore a ridiculously phrased piece of clothing was able to pull it off.
