This log stayed in the same area for several days this spring. There seemed to be something intriguing, some something about it that kept me watching it in puzzlement. When I took the photo and turned it sideways...there it was!! A wood sprite? A giant possessed carrot? A medieval magician held by a magical spell? Let your imagination be your guide.
