The Fourth Generation Monarch larvae prepping for migration
After years of growing milkweed around our farm, we had a bumper crop of monarch butterflies appear. There were at least twenty or more caterpillars in various stages of development on the milkweed stems. These caterpillars are the fourth generation and will be the ones migrating south in September.
