The Ganden Sumtsenling Monastery in the morning light

The Ganden Sumtsenling Monastery, also known as Sungtseling and Guihuasi, is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery situated 5 kilometres from the city of Zhongdian at elevation 3,380 metres in Yunnan province, China.The Ganden Sumtsenling Monastery in the early morning, surrounded by clouds and mist, looks like a fairyland. A long time ago, there was a lake in front of the temple. During the Cultural Revolution, it was filled to make fields. Now it is being restored to its original state. Sumtsenling Monastery will be more beautiful when it become a lake.
