The Golden Toad
The Golden Toad (Incilius periglenes) disappeared from the cloud forests of Costa Rica thirty years ago. Found only in a small area high on the ridge-line of the continental divide above the town of Monteverde, it would become the first terrestrial extinction to be linked to climate change.
