12th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
The Graceful Couplet
This was a taken by a lake near a castle ruin in Ireland. We spent a day walking across crumbling stones and feeding the nearby swans. I tried to capture the swan just as it was coming out of the water to catch the stream running off its beak.
