15th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
The Grand Prismatic Spring
The grandest of hot springs in the US, and the 3rd largest in the world. I decided to go on the flight in choppy weather, with mountains all around - knowing very well the turbulence I was going to fly in to see this sight! Needless to say, it did not disappoint!
