In the 4th aug 2012 a fire destroyed the ZINGARO NATURE RESERVE (Western Sicily). This shot records the moon rising behind the giant smoke cloud. Fortunately, the roots of many palm trees remained alive and now, two years later, it seems that nothing has happened!
