The core of this series of works is a quiet dialogue between me and the city. It does not have a grand narrative nor does it pursue dazzling composition. Instead, it brings the camera close to those corners that are usually regarded as "meaningless" and insignificant. I use gray tones as the overall visual vocabulary, not to create a cold feeling, but to let the colors step back and let texture, structure and lines take center stage in the picture. For me, gray is a kind of distance. It makes the world quiet and hides emotions beneath the surface. Without strong color temperature jumps, the viewer's attention truly falls on those "ignored languages": the tiny cracks in the brick joints, the subtle gradients of light on the rough walls, and the hidden sense of order in the abandoned areas.
