The Hatchling
A hatchling American alligator peeks over the lily pads of the Everglades. Caught this hatchling alligator during my time out on an airboat deep in the Everglades. Only a small percentage of hatchlings survive to adulthood, making each full-grown gator a testament to resiliency.
