Kulasekharapattinam is a small hamlet located near the southern tip of India in the state of Tamilnadu. The famous Dussera Festival is celebrated here which has a total different context than Dussera celebration in Northern India. Here devotees dress themselves up as several handed Goddess Kali, who during this Dussera periob of 10 days devours the evil demon 'Mahishasura' the buffalo-headed demon. This Dussera is celebrated to commemorate the denouncement of the evil forces on earth.
