The Huntsman In Action
Mostly spiders spin webs and wait for their prey to get trapped. However, the David Bowie spider does not build webs. Instead, it actively hunts for its prey and uses venom to immobilise the prey. This is an image of David Bowie Spider which was hunting and injecting venom into a mantis on the branches in a montane tropical forest in Cameron Highland, Malaysia. The whole process usually takes about 10-20 minutes.
