18th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Altered Images
The Ice Trees
Bare tree limbs holding a layer of recent snow provides the intricate outlines of the darker limbs. Photo editing was able to bring out the contrast revealing the beautiful patterns created by the tree branches.
